Recovery with Root: Dr. Yifrah Kaminer Explains Research on Drug Overdoses and Suicidality

In this episode of Recovery with Root, Dr. Yifrah Kaminer, the principal investigator of the Root grant-funded research study, shares his findings on a soon-to-be published study conducted by UConn Health that investigates the connection between Opioid Use Disorder in young adults and suicidality.
Dr. Kaminer is a psychiatry professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and has been practicing with UConn Health for over 30 years. He is the recipient of the first fully funded Root Grant provided by the Advanced Recovery Institute to support the research study: "Youth Opioid Overdose: Implementing Overdose Suicide Risk Assessment Solutions".
The study will be published in online journals soon, but in the meantime, Dr. Kaminer's book can be found on amazon.
